Day one of the drive home didn't get off to a great start. When we left Vancouver, we got to sit at border patrol line for 1.5 hours. We then drove down some back highways in hope of seeing Mt. Rainier and then visiting Spirt Lake at Mt. St. Helen's. Thanks to the clouds, Mt. Rainier was not visible. We got to within 5 miles of Spirit Lake to find the road closed preventing us from our visit to see Mt. St. Helen's up close and not blocked from view by trees as well as from continuing our journey south back to Pete and Amanda's. We backtracked a ways, got back on I-5, and made our way to Portland. Thankfully, Dave, Fairlie, Pete and Amanda had a barbeque and had hot dogs and burgers ready for us when we got there!

Matt was not bothered by the cheetah talk and finally took a much needed nap.
