It's official! He blew out the candles. Hope to download pictures soon. He loves his new toys that he got for his birthday. We made cupcakes yesterday. He took some to school today to share with his classmates. Tonight, he got to have candles which makes everything official. On Saturday, he opened all of his cards and gifts. I figured if he opened them this morning, he would be mad about going to school. And if we waited for Dan to get off work tonight, he would be mad about going to bed. On a side note, Dan was sent to Vegas for work last minute this morning. He is gone tonight. Should be home sometime tomorrow. I'm really glad we celebrated over the weekend and took advantage of the family time. Just never know when we'll all be together. That will all change soon. We're hoping Dan will be home more when we get settled into Pensacola.
Dan saw Air Force One takeoff while sitting in traffic in Vegas today. He tried to get a picture, said it was too far away by the time he got his camera out to really see it.
Ben is doing great in school. He got his first report card. He got all A's and S's. Yay for Ben! He got an A- in writing. He has a hard time being patient and taking his time with it. He got an A+ in math. We have a conference on Thursday. This should be entertaining.
Abbie and Clair. are. very. busy. people. When you say no, they shake their heads and continue on. Abbie likes to sit on my lap, keeping Clair away. Clair is more vocal. Abbie has a funny giggle. Clair has 4 teeth and knows how to use them. Abbie has 3, working on 4. Abbie throws her Lovie overboard and then cries about it. Clair sits with her legs tucked under her and proceeds to bounce up and down from sitting to kneeling. Even in the tub. She turns her feet in so that her toes touch, really weird looking, flexible ankles. Abbie sits with her legs straight out, not bent at the knee. They both have mullets, sometimes with curls. Clair still sucks her middle and ring fingers on her left hand backwards. They eat like champs! We are working on weaning. Abbie is enjoying whole milk and moving forward. Clair enjoys motor boating her whole milk and has perfected spitting. I'm guessing she's getting weaned to water. She'll get her dairy elsewhere. Abbie busted her lip while trying to crawl in a dress. It was a bit puffy but is fine now. Their first booboo.
Maddie and Lucie are doing great. They lay at attention among the highchairs waiting for the next bite to fall from the sky. It can be quite the obstacle course to get dinner on the table.
The temperatures have dropped to the 90s during the days. The snowbirds are here. They make driving around Yuma interesting. I guess we'll get to see how Florida's winter visitors compare.
Better get to bed.
