December started with us living in the Navy Lodge. Dan started work in Pensacola. Ben started school. Our friends, the Buerstattes, were in town for a couple days, so we got to visit with them briefly and meet Liam. Granddad passed away one day shy of ten years after Granny. Ben turned 6. I had a birthday. After a week in the Navy Lodge, we moved to a condo on Perdido Key. It was nicer with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Sleeping 6 to a room got old fast! The condo was great. We had our own laundry room and the kitchen was nice. We were able to eat in more and cook. Eating out gets old and is hard to do with picky eaters and finger foods only. We played on the beach, watched the sunsets, watched for storms, watched the birds, built sandcastles... It was nice! We went up to Georgia for Christmas, leaving some stuff behind in our condo. It was cheaper to rent it for a month than by the week. Christmas flew by. The kids received lots of gifts and were so excited! I'm thankful that the little elf has returned to his box for a few months.

Playing on the Beach for the first time in Pensacola!
Clair wasn't so sure about the beach.
Ben turned 6! He looks so old.
He was excited to go to Mellow Mushroom for his birthday!
There is a playground near our new house. Clair likes to swing.
We walked around Fort Barrancas.
Abbie wasn't sure about the fort.
Another beautiful sunset (at Fort Barrancas).
Christmas Eve at Mimi and Papa's
Abbie opens a gift.
Christmas morning at Aunt Amber's house.
So many presents!
Clair and Abbie steal a few bites of Papa's lunch. We tried pigtails.
