Yesterday, Dan and I took the four kids to San Diego for Matt to have another endoscopy. His doctor wanted to see if he has grown into his esophagus. After the procedure, the doctor said that Matt has another ulcer that has developed since we weaned him from his prevacid in November. Matt was a little groggy after the procedure but enjoyed a Sierra Mist and popsicle from Nurse Emmy. He quickly recovered when we went to Chickfila with friends. He ate some french fries, enjoyed a Dr. Pepper, and ate a bowl of ice cream. We made numerous pit stops on the way home thanks to all of the fluids! Today, he is back to taking his Prevacid. His stomach was hurting, but the nurse assured me that it is normal after an endoscopy.
We had a great time seeing our friends. Leslie (friend from high school stationed at Camp Pendleton with her husband who will deploy with Dan), Michele (lived on our street in Meridian now at Miramar), their kids and Leslie's husband ate lunch with us at Chickfila. The kids had a blast playing on the playground. Wish we lived closer to all of them!
