6 month checkup... Finally!

The girls finally got to have their 6 month checkup. They finished their antibiotics over the weekend, and everyone seems to be doing well. The doctor thought they looked great. She expressed no concern with Clair's head this visit. She considers them sitters. I consider them launchers. At any moment, they'll jerk and go flying! Clair weighed 15 lbs even, and Abbie weighed 14 lbs, 15.5 oz. They are both 26.5 in. long and have head circumferences of 17.5 in. You can't get much closer than that, only a half ounce difference is pretty amazing. They're in the 10-25th percentile for weight and 50-75th percentile for length. Their heads are in the 90th percentile. Clair has some eczema spots. We are just treating it with some lotion. It doesn't seem to bother her. I think they look worse since her reaction to the amoxicillin. Hopefully, they'll look better soon. They received shots yesterday and are taking it well. They can start having a little juice in a sippy cup as well as fruits!

Dan is out of River City, so it has been nice emailing back and forth. He is doing well. Ben's school had Donuts with Dad today, so Ben enjoyed Pastries with Papa. He is dealing with Dan's deployment much better this time. He also got to take his water cannon to school for water day. Tomorrow is his last day of preschool! That went by quickly! He has his first belt test in karate in June. Can't wait to see how he does and how much he's learned. Matt finished soccer, so we're just hanging out. He loves going to the pool and both boys start swim lessons next week. Ben is going to be swimming very soon, I think. Not sure about Matt. He likes firing his water cannon from the steps, pouring cups of water on the sidewalk, playing catch, and jumping in to me. Hope everyone enjoys a nice Memorial Day weekend!

Hollie,
Use Dove soap on Clair's skin. It will cure up any dryness or bumps. It worked wonders for Liam.
