Gold Mining and Tubing - What a Sunday!

We went to Dahlonega, GA and panned for gold. They let us bring home our gold. It must not have been worth much... I think the boys' favorite part was when a miner pulled some rose quartz out of their ears!

We left Dahlonega and went to Helen, GA where we went tubing down the Chattahoochee River. Matt's tube flipped over when he got caught on a rock. He was fine (and wearing a life jacket), just a little scared after that. We had fun and saw some interesting people. Too bad we couldn't take our cameras on the water. I need to get a water proof camera!
