Updates From Home

Dan had a nice cross country and enjoyed the air show in Wisconsin.

Ben loves the kids in the neighborhood that come over constantly wanting to play. Seriously, I answered the door 4 times in 2.5 hours. That was for one kid starting before 8 am.

Matt likes playing with Ben and friends, but he has really been enjoying the Olympics. He loves to give me updates on scores. He seems to be most interested in volleyball (maybe because NBC shows that in the mornings). Matt also enjoys playing Stack the States on my phone. I have to read him the questions but he is starting to recognize the shape of some of the states and their flags. I especially like when he says Tucky.

Abbie and Clair are almost 21 months old. They are getting frustrated with their limited ability to communicate. It seems like they learn a new word every day. Now, if I could just understand their version of it. Soon. Last week, Abbie would scream and yell each time I sang Itsy Bitsy Spider. This week, she cheers. She could be the next Simon Cowell. Clair is fascinated with shoes. Abbie wears hers to nap, but Clair takes hers off and on. All day long. They like playing outside on the trampoline, driving their car, and playing in the sprinkler.

As for me, I am still waiting to pass a kidney stone or two. Hurry up already!

Mimi is helping us these days in case I double over. She is doing great. The kids love the extra attention. We are very thankful for the extra help.
