Yellowstone - Sunday - Part 1

On Sunday morning, we drove up the west side of the park to Norris Geyser. We continued north to Mammoth Hot Springs.
Elk
Bubbling and steamy and stinky.

A boardwalk we cruised along to see a variety of pots at the Norris geyser.
This one was boiling hot mud. It made weird plopping sounds and mud would shoot out.
Dan, Ben, and Pete walking along.
Grampa, Matt, and Grammy not far behind.
A pretty lake between Norris Geyser and Mammoth Hot Springs. It rained a little as we drove north. It smelled great. We haven't seen rain in months. On a side note, it did rain here in Yuma today. The next few pictures are from the lower terrace at Mammoth Hot Springs. We got out and walked around a little here too.
