Ben and Matt's Birthday Party!

I decided to have a birthday party for the boys so they could celebrate with their play group friends before we leave town. I made it halfway between their days, so I could just have one party. Throwing a party by yourself is exhausting! So I cheated and had one. Almost all of our friends made it. There were 11 adults and 21 kids, sandwiches for lunch, balloons, and ice cream cake. Everyone had a good time and hopefully a full belly when they left. I tried to get Ben to wait to open gifts with Dan on Skype, but he just couldn't wait any longer!
Matt is amazed by the balloons.
DQ ice cream cake - yum!
Mommy lights the candles.
Ben loved having everyone sing for him.
Matt loved the blue icing. Some of the kids looked like they could be members of the Blue Man Group when they finished their cake. Luckily it wiped off easily.
Lots of people!
More people.
Matt starts to turn blue!
We hid gifts in the laundry room to protect them from the kids.
Matt sits in a carseat with his feet in a basket next to his shopping cart with gifts and their new Hot Wheels race track. What a day!
Ben likes the jet I built with his Knex. He especially likes the orange guns he added that shoot fire. He was happy, but the balloon was causing us to have to retake the picture numerous times.
