Ben's 1st Day of Pre-K

Ben started Pre-K today. He wasn't very excited to get back into school mode but seemed to enjoy his first day. He finally wrote his name correctly today (Ben instead of NEB like he has been doing at home). Apparently, they just told him to write it like they had it on his name tag. They told him 4 year olds don't scribble, they stay in the lines - big improvement there already! Where have these ladies been all summer? They're amazing so far. He already completed his homework. He practiced cutting on the black lines and found 5 things to take to school that tell something about himself... Ben chose car keys (he doesn't drive, but likes the keys?), a parasaurolophus (favorite dinosaur), a toy Harrier (Daddy's jet), a Panda Bear (loves pandas), and a rounded rock he found (he says was formed by glaciers - we read that in a book).
Family Photo in the parking lot. Ben is wearing his new backpack and ready to go!

Dan was very excited to get to pick Ben up today too. Thanks to a late night of work tonight, he was able to take him and pick him up. Dan ran ahead to get a sneak peak of Ben on his first day!

One day down, many days of school to go! Yay for a great first day!
