C-section is Scheduled!

My c-section has been scheduled for November 10th (Grampa's birthday) at 11:50 am. I'm going to be a nervous wreck by then, and I can't eat or drink anything all morning. Not sure what our plan for the boys will be that day. The nurse I met with today said I should be in my room by 2:30 pm.

I've gotten some strange comments lately...
-Wow, you don't even look pregnant from behind.

-Are they identical?
-Me: No.
-Oh really, that's too bad.

-Do you know what you're having? (I don't know why that is weird to me - a baby!).

-I just found out last week that you're having twins (I don't know this woman or where she is getting her information).

-I walked into Ben's preschool today, and the ladies of the church were having a luncheon. One of them looked at me and said, "Oh my". They all then proceeded to turn and stare.

I can't reach anything on the floor without doing my sumo wrestler squat. I can't reach the sink faucet handle when approaching straight on. I have to turn to the side or bend forward. The nurse asked me to step on the scale at the hospital today. I did and bounced off the wall. She offered to pull it back for me. Gee, thanks! I can't read my scale at home until I back off of it. To get up out of bed - I have to slide up on my elbow, then use both arms to push myself into a sitting position. This can be pretty annoying when your hip and butt are asleep. I usually fall asleep before 10 and get up around 4 when laying down becomes uncomfortable. I'm usually up a few times in between for potty breaks and to flip sides. I take afternoon naps. My 4 year old doesn't.

Six more days!

hollie, this may be a silly question... but i was wondering how will you decide which one is abbie and which one is clair? will it just be whichever baby comes out 1st and 2nd?

Hang in there girl. You will do just fine. Love your sense of humour in these descriptions....we are cheering for those two little girls (and for Mom and Dad and Ben and Matt)- this is going to be one great team.
