Matt's checkup

Matt weighed 31.5 lbs today at his check up. He is average for weight (yay for Matt) and above average for height. His doctor was happy to see he is long and lean. He received two shots, and he didn't even cry. The doctor asked if he knew his colors and shapes. And lucky for us, he answered circle correctly from her drawing. She then drew a pumpkin which he first called a smiley face and then answered pumpkin. She's not the best artist, but she was drawing upside down. We were then talking about trying to write b and d upside down, but she didn't realize Mom and I meant lowercase. She wrote B. Matt said, "B is for Ben". She then wrote an M. Matt immediately said, "M is for Matt". The doctor called Matt a smart cookie. He looked at Mom and I and said, "I a smart tookie." The doctor is not concerned that he makes a t sound for the hard c sound. I guess it is normal for his age. He walked out with four stickers, so he was happy!

Matt had his endoscopy a year ago. This week we started weaning him from his prevacid. So far, he seems to be taking it pretty well. It'll take three weeks to complete his gastroenterologist's recommendation for how to wean him. Good thing we have nothing else going on. Assuming we complete the weaning process, Matt will have another endoscopy on January 5th to make sure that he has grown into his esophagus and hasn't developed another ulcer.
