Saturday - We drove into Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon. It was a mass of people - Wow! Dan joined his squadron for the VMA-513 reunion and yen roll. I took the boys to the airport to pick up my parents and Amber.
Sunday - We looked in a few hotels and checked into the Wyndham. Dad and I did some grocery shopping. We went swimming after the boys woke up from their nap.
Monday - We were held hostage in a diversion tunnel of the Hoover Dam by the stupid elevator. We were set free after an hour. We went to lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. Matt cried every single time a cheetah looked at him and hissed. He also cried during the thunderstorm! I think he cried for most of the meal. We walked out, and he was fine.
Tuesday - We rode the monorail - the boys first train ride. We checked a few more hotels, watched a circus act, saw the Bellagio fountains, and waited on the Mirage volcano to erupt with no luck.
Wednesday - We toured the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. We ate a big lunch and packed for Yuma. We made it home for dinner. Ben, Matt, and I drove home yesterday because Grandma Rosie was put in the hospital a few days ago with Pneumonia. Grandma Rosie passed away this morning (Thursday).
Matt and I will be driving to San Diego tomorrow to fly to Wichita for her funeral on Saturday. Dan and Ben will have a father son weekend at home.
