Week in a Nutshell

So Ben has decided he wants 3 cars - a jeep, a truck, and a rental car. He also wants a camper. It'll be interesting to see how that works out for him.

Matt can now say "helper". He also tries to say blue, but instead says "boo". Milk sounds more like "mealk". Marker is "murka". Lucie is "Laaaa-ucie". He still points some, but he is trying to talk.

I finally got in touch with the nurse at Rady's. Argh! We're still working to get the evaluations with the Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist figured out - referrals, insurance, primary care physician...

It has been a busy week with play group, errands, planning our trip to Vegas, LA and San Diego, etc. We went to see our Thursday movie at Harkins. "Nim's Island" was pretty good. It wasn't even a cartoon. Ben was great. Matt got bored about halfway into it. He discovered the steps... He kept saying "up". Everyone must have thought we were at the wrong movie. "Up" was playing next door.

We leave tomorrow with Dan for Vegas! Dan is going to his squadron's reunion on Saturday night and will be heading home on Sunday, but we will stay in Vegas until Thursday morning at my parent's timeshare with them and Amber. Mimi and Papa will fly home but Amber will stay with me and the boys. We're then heading to LA where we'll do a quick tour of Beverly Hills and Hollywood. We are planning to meet with Erin, Moran, and Shaya for some playtime on their last day in LA. They move to Palo Alto the next day. Erin is Dan's cousin from Toronto that I've never met. Ben and Matt will finally meet one of their Canadian cousins. Shaya is also 3, so I'm sure they'll have a great time together. We are set to spend Thursday night at Camp Pendleton. On Friday, we have tickets to Legoland. We will spend Friday night in San Diego and spend Saturday at the San Diego Zoo before heading back to Yuma where Amber will stay with us for a week before flying home.
