Ben loves to share wild stories about Grandma (imaginary) and his older brother, Jason (also imaginary). They had many crazy adventures in high school. We learned tonight that Grandma June lives in Iowa and is actually Jason's mom. Our imaginary family has a unique family tree. Ben's imagination has really taken off lately!
Ben told us a story a few days ago about how he went skydiving to Jupiter and then Mars. He's very interested in skydiving right now. I wish I could get these on video, so you could hear all of the ridiculous and incredible details. Poor Matt doesn't understand pretend and is terrified of the bear living under his bed and in his closet. He has been reminded numerous times that all bears are in cages at the San Diego Zoo. No bears live in our house. He has slept much better the past few nights.
Tomorrow, we're off to see "The Tale of Despereaux" at Summer Movie Fun. Should be a good one. We just finished the book about a month ago. Now, we're reading some of the Magic Tree House books. I need to find some more chapter books for Ben. I think his favorites so far have been about Ralph S. Mouse. Matt also enjoys books and loves re-reading them. His current top picks are "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and "Firebears, The Rescue Team".
