We found this in our garage! (It is a black widow.) I was horrified as I would be with a Daddy longlegs, so I called my knight in shining armor Dan to kill it. After he discovered what kind it was, I was told to keep my eye on it. He left to get a weapon (our broom which will never get to come back in our house). When he got back, I looked up to tell him something and it disappeared. We found it on his golf clubs. He took a good swing with the broom, injured it, and it flew towards me. I screamed and ran like a crazy person. He proceeded to kill the spider and leave it in the road. I hope the neighbors weren't watching. On Sunday, Dan went all around our house vacuuming up spider webs. Just writing this is giving me the willies.
