Jane Wayne Day!

I went to Jane Wayne Day for Dan's squadron today. We started off taking a 45 minute bus ride through the desert (one part on a bumpy dirt road - ouch). We got there, dressed up in our gear (helmet and kevlar vests), waited in 90+ heat, watched a Close Air Support Demo, shot an M-16, and took another bus ride back to MCAS Yuma. We got to eat MRE's (yummy!), watched a martial arts demo, learned a choke hold, practiced on our husbands, checked out the cockpit of a Harrier, and picked up the kids from child care. Ms. Deborah said Ben and Matt were good. She thought Ben was really funny because he could have adult conversations. Apparently she was asking him questions, and he finally said "enough questions." Haha! He gets that from Dan. We picked up our extra dog for the weekend which is making Ben ask "is that Maddie or Cola?" over and over again. Now we're all enjoying some air conditioning. Dan leaves for a cross country on Sunday morning and gets home on Wednesday. Argh, so much for a 5 day weekend!
Happy Memorial Day!
