Back to the Hospital...

I had 4 contractions last night in 30 minutes, so we headed into the hospital to get checked out. I was admitted having contractions every 7 minutes. I was given a shot of tributylene (I think) to relax my uterus. After an IV, an ultrasound, the shot, blood tests, etc., I am not effaced or dilated - YAY! These contractions are not causing me to go into labor. The nurse said I have an "irritable uterus" which she explained as my uterus doesn't like being stretched this much... tell me about it! I don't have to go into the hospital now until my contractions are really strong since we passed the 32 week hurdle and these current contractions aren't causing me to go into labor. We got to watch the babies' heart rates on the monitor last night. They were being quite active. We got home about 1 am. Luckily, Dan didn't have to go to work until 1 pm today since he is working late tonight.

I had an appointment with my OB today. It is still too early to schedule my c-section. He seemed very confident after the test results from last night that the babies and I will make it to 35 weeks, our next hurdle. He told me before that at 35 weeks, the babies should be able to come home from the hospital with me! My next checkup is on October 20th. We should schedule my c-section then; although, I'm not seeing my normal doctor (so I'm not sure how that will work out). I have my 36 week ultrasound set up for October 27th.
