We had a fun weekend. Dan was off on Friday, so we were able to do some errands and birthday shopping for Matt while he and Mimi were busy cleaning at home and Ben was at preschool. It is difficult to shop for Matt. I feel like we have so many toys already. What could he possibly want? I think we found something he'll like. His brother might enjoy it too!
On Saturday, we took the boys to Jump Up for open gym. They had a great time playing in the foam blocks. I wish it weren't so crowded on weekends. We then drove down to the Mexican border through the Arizona towns of Somerton and San Luis. We didn't cross over the border. We were just looking around. We'd never been there before. San Luis is about as far south as you can go in AZ. Dan climbed Telegraph Pass (one of the Gila Mountains you can see from our backyard) later that afternoon. It didn't take him very long. He called us from the top, but we couldn't see him.
On Sunday, we took it pretty easy. The boys love having their Daddy home to play with. He plays a lot rougher than Mom. Matt worked another puzzle, Ben played some Wii, Mimi and I went shopping, and Dan lifted weights and prepared for another busy week at work. It was a good day! I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, October 5th. Dan will be doing some practice landings at night this week.
Dan throws Ben into the blocks.
