Keeping Busy

The boys and I have been staying pretty busy. On Tuesday of last week, I took advantage of the OEF Care (free care at the base child development center for military families with deployed spouses) and went out to dinner with friends. I think it'll be a weekly outing and much needed break. We went to Jump Up on Wednesday to burn up some energy. Thursday's playgroup was at our friends' pool. The weather has been super hot, so pools are awesome! Ben and Matt both love the water. It is great to visit with other moms while the kids splash us and keep us cool. We had therapy on Friday and friends over for dinner that night. We had a great time with everyone. On Saturday, we went to see some friends on base for playtime and dinner. We all had fun there too. Today we hung around the house, worked on a craft for Daddy, walked to the mail box in 110 degree weather, and played with the dogs. Roxy, a friend's dog, is hanging with us for a few weeks. The dogs are all having a great time.

Dan called today before loading in his jet to fly to Kadena AB on the island of Okinawa. He is doing well. He has a Japanese driver's license now. In his free time, he has been playing tennis and racketball. He has no phone or internet, so we haven't heard from him much. It should get better once he settles into Kadena. Fingers crossed!

We've been taking a link off our chain everyday. This one said "Smile".
Matt sends Daddy a smile.
Matt has been taking off his pants and diaper lately, so I pulled out the old potty chair. He was getting familiar with it. So far, he sits on the potty chair and nothing happens. He gets up, runs around, stops, and pees. Argh!
Ben got new safety googles. They make him look funny.
Underwear update: Matt is now putting Ben's underwear in the barn.
Matt tries the goggles.
Matt loves stickers. Smiley guy!
Ben and Matt are ready to go swimming. Ben insists the safety goggles are needed for the pool!
