Dan went over to the airport today to find out that weather would not allow them to go to Wake Island. He spent a few hours at the airport, checked into a different Outrigger Hotel, rented a body board, and is enjoying an afternoon at the beach. So far, deployment sounds more like vacation! One of the guys in his squadron who has been stuck in Hawaii since Sunday is calling it "Groundhog's Day in Hawaii - again." Dan said they will most likely be able to get to Wake Island tomorrow.
As for us on the homefront, we took it pretty easy this morning and then went swimming after naptime. Ben remembers how to swim. It has been a while since we've been in the pool. Ben got his preschool schedule today - so cute. He will be selling cookie dough for his preschool's fundraiser if anyone is interested! Mmmm!
